MALASAÑA

Parisian graffiti artist Christian Guemy, also known as C215, has left intricately designed portraits on the walls of Malasaña, giving a face to the people of the streets—the homeless, children, and even smokers out for a quick cigarette break.

TABACALERA

This former tobacco factory in Lavapiés is now a community-run cultural space, and its walls are peppered with street art, including a multicolored bear in the unmistakable style of Okuda (see above) on the walls of the Tabacalera looking onto Calle Miguel Sirvet.

MERCADO ANTÓN MARTÍN

If you’re visiting Mercado Antón Martín in Lavapiés, cast your eye upwards to take in the woman who looks out over the market—Isabellita. She was named by locals, who thoroughly embraced the work by Irish street artist Fin DAC.
